Cookie policy
Which cookies this site places — there are few — and which requests go to third parties.
1. In short
This site is deliberately kept plain. We use no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies and no social media buttons that follow you. We do not sell data and we do not build profiles.
What does happen is set out below.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. On the next page or the next visit, the site can read that file again. On this page, "cookies" also covers similar techniques that store or read information on your device, such as local storage and session storage.
3. Who places these cookies
The cookies below are placed by or on behalf of:
KISSIT B.V.
Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 73795836
E-mail: info@sdshunter.com
4. Which cookies we use
4.1 Necessary and functional cookies
These are needed to make the site work and to protect our forms against misuse. No consent is required for them (Article 11.7a(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, implementing the ePrivacy Directive).
| Cookie / technique | Purpose | Placed by | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
wordpress_test_cookie |
Checks whether your browser accepts cookies | sdshunter.com | Session |
wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* |
Keep an administrator logged in to the admin area. Ordinary visitors do not receive these | sdshunter.com | Session up to 1 year |
| Form security (nonce and timing check) | Prevents forms being submitted automatically or abusively | sdshunter.com | Session |
| Cookie notice (only if a choice dialogue ever appears) | Remembers your choice so we do not ask again | sdshunter.com | Up to 6 months |
We do not store your language choice in a cookie: the Dutch and English
pages have their own addresses (for example /spelregels/ and /en/rules/).
4.2 Analytics cookies
We do measure how many people visit the site, but without cookies. We use Matomo, which runs on our own server. No data goes to another company, and nothing is stored on or read from your device.
Because nothing is placed on or read from your device, no consent is required: article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act concerns cookies and similar techniques, and we do not use those for this. That is why you see no cookie notice on this site.
What Matomo does process — your IP address and the pages you request — is set out in the Privacy statement, under "Visit statistics". It also explains how to opt out.
We do not use Google Analytics.
4.3 Marketing and tracking cookies
We do not use these, and we do not intend to start.
5. Requests to third parties (even without cookies)
Even without a cookie, your browser may contact another party. In that case at least your IP address, your browser type and the page requested become visible to that party.
On this site that does not happen: everything your browser fetches — the pages, the images, the Lora typeface and the analytics software — comes from sdshunter.com itself. Not a single request goes to another company's server. The typeface used to be fetched from Google; since September 2026 it is served from our own server.
What there is:
- Our hosting provider. It processes technical data needed to display and secure the site; see the Privacy statement.
Videos, maps or other embedded third-party content (such as YouTube or Google Maps) are not present on this site. If we ever add them, we will only load them after you have given consent.
6. Server logs and security
Our server keeps ordinary log files: the address requested, the time, the response code and the IP address. In addition, the site temporarily counts how often a form is submitted from a single IP address in order to block spam (a maximum of five submissions per hour). That is not a cookie — it happens on the server side. More about this is set out in the Privacy statement.
7. Refusing or deleting cookies
You can manage cookies yourself in your browser: view, refuse, block or delete them. All common browsers offer this in their settings, usually under "Privacy" or "Privacy and security". You can also set your browser to delete cookies automatically when you close it.
If you block all cookies, this site remains perfectly readable. Submitting a form may not work, however.
If you want to know which cookies are currently on your device, you can inspect them in your browser via the settings or the developer tools.
8. Changes
If the techniques we use change, we will update this page. The version number and the date of the last change are always shown at the top.
